Column Joins Local Media Association's R&D Partner Program

By Sarah Alpert · April 28, 2021

Column recently joined the Local Media Association as a research & development partner. We are excited to work with LMA on innovative ways to support media businesses across the country, starting by modernizing the public notice process for publications and their customers.

LMA is an industry leader in convening thoughtful conversations on innovative and sustainable solutions to the problems facing local media. The association has over 3,000 members, ranging from newspapers to radio and TV stations, as well as hundreds of research & development partners, who work together to transform the industry with new technology and ideas.

The R&D partner program will enable Column to bring our public notice solutions to new markets. As the first collaborative platform for public notice, Column offers an unmatched customer experience for the folks who need to publish notices, and for the newspapers responsible for distributing them. With tools like centralized order dashboards, digital affidavit storage and automated status updates, publishers using Column can provide their customers with a streamlined public notice experience.

Column also embraces LMA's spirit of collaboration. By partnering with associations and some of the country's largest media organizations, we build technology to support local newspapers and help folks define the future of public notice.

"The LMA is an industry leader in convening important conversations on the future of local media, and Column is thrilled to join the discussion. As an R&D partner, we will work hard to support LMA members by solving tough problems with easy-to-use technology," said Head of Partnerships Kevin King.
