Column Partners with Maryland-Delaware-DC Press Association

By Sarah Alpert · January 21, 2021

This week, the Maryland-Delaware-DC Press Association became the newest member of the Column Partner Program. Encompassing all daily and most non-daily newspapers in Maryland, Delaware and D.C., MDDC supports its members through professional development, legislative representation and more.

Through this partnership, Column will build a new public notice website for MDDC. Column's modern, user-friendly public notice search sites not only make public interest information more accessible to readers, but also bolster press associations' legislative arguments for the future of public notice.

Building on existing relationships with publications in the Maryland, Delaware and D.C. area, Column is eager to work with additional MDDC member newspapers. As head of partnerships Kevin King commented, "We are excited to see Column's solutions serve journalistic institutions around the capital. We look forward to working with MDDC on this first project and other initiatives to support the association's member publications."

By partnering with Column, MDDC gains not just a new public notice website, but a technology partner committed to supporting the association's mission.

"Column has demonstrated their dedication to supporting newspapers and press associations across the country. MDDC feels confident that Column's technology will enable us to better serve our member newspapers, and we look forward to working with the Column team," said MDDC executive director Rebecca Snyder.
